Been helping a buddy with his motor swap and we have run into a snag. We have it installed and wired up but can't get her to run. We get no spark from the coil and can't figure why were not getting spark. Here's the set up,
1996 Vortec 5.7 (Matt O's old motor)
-we are getting power to all sensors, cam, crank, ect.
-we get power to the coil
-all the grounds are good
-and we get no trouble codes, reason we haven't changed the coil
-the only thing that is not hooked up is the wires for the VSS, he has no need for a speed-o
We must be missing something stupid and hate to see him throw money at parts that didn't have to be changed so any help would be appreciated.
