Working on getting the upper shelves/cabinets buttoned up...

Storage above the sleeping quarters...

Fridge area is looking good...

Vanity/medicine cabinet area getting some love...

Mood lighting in the back where the magic happens...

Light installed under the shelf above the dinette area...

Little bit more carpet and trim needed...

Temporary shore power... Need to find a little lock door thingy...

Coat rack/key hanger, that's been floating around for a while, finally got a home...

About 30 lbs of venison summer sausage and Mt Dew in the bus fridge... Bring on the Zombies!!!

My stash, shhhh...

Luckily I didn't let out the magic smoke when I hooked everything up... I've never figured out how to put the magic smoke back into things after I let it out...

Slowly getting the sheet metal that hides the wiring installed...

Cut in for bedroom lamp...

Everything is layered, one piece over the top of another... Its making everything nice and solid, very snug fit... I can still take it all apart to get back into something if need be...

More sheet metal work...

It'll look really good after the square tube is cleaned up and painted hammerite black...

Wall fishin'... I use to spend hours everyday doing this in customers homes...

No pooping in the dark for this guy... I could even enjoy a magazine while camping...

Trimming out some of the diamond plate...

Trimmed the diamond plate behind the stove... Gonna trim the cabinet doors the same way...

Working on the sheet metal that covers the wiring loom running thru the upper galley cabinet...

Working on the furnace cabinet...

Now it's time for some panels to close it up...

So, I took the bus thru emissions yesterday (passed) and decided to stop at Fredys to grab some stuff... No real reason other than the fact that it makes total sense to use the bus for running errands... :redneck:

I come back out and there's a bee hanging out around the drivers seat... Great...

Now I'm in the Fredys parking lot battling a bee in the bus... The people driving by must think I'm completely insane...:haha:

Little update...

I finally got the bus reclassified as an RV, it's no longer titled as a commercial vehicle... It's now a 1993 International Motor Home... Got plates and tabs now, so no more trip permits... Had to set an appointment with the state patrol to have it inspected... They really liked it and gave me the reclassification to take to the dmv... $320 for all the different fees and inspection...

I installed some mini blinds in it... Also took it to a get together with some close friends last weekend... Had a great time and the bus did awesome... A lot more comfortable than the last time we had it out... Hopefully I'll get back to working on it, but I need to finish up a shed project first...

Hung out in the bus the other night and shortened the mini blinds... Got the goofy little things that hold the bottom of the blinds in place installed... Getting a lot more homey in the bus...

Bought a tub of rv air dry stuff at Wally World for under $10 that seems to be working pretty good... We'll see how long it lasts, but it does seem like it's soaking up moisture...

Haven't towed with it yet... Now that it's titled as a motor home I can get AAA... Having an issue, even just a flat, on a trip scared me a little... On a school bus forum I'm on, others are saying that the AAA Premier costs $115 and covers RVs including Skoolies...

There's a lot of others that reclassified their bus in Washington without an inspection, just depends on if you're lucky and get someone you can talk into doing it... I went in and handed over my paperwork, the counter person helping me started typing away... I was ready to pay the fee, but she said I needed the inspection paperwork... I tried explaining to her that it no longer needed to be inspected, she wouldn't have it... I went to a dmv that others had no problems with and I was already in the system, so I had to bite the bullet and go thru all the steps... Live and learn...

I don't know anyone else that has done this, so I'm figuring it all out along the way...

Had the bus out this weekend, it's nice and comfy...

Bunk hooked me up with some RV lights... Thanks again... And thanks to Jimmy for dropping them off... Now I need to order the led pucks to mod the lights...

Thinking about building a bunk like this in the front above the drivers seat...
