My dad, brother, and myself are headed up to Maple Valley from Portland this weekend for Mom's Day on Sunday, but thought we would try to get out and do some wheelin' on Saturday. We have done a lot of trails over the years, but never anything in WA. All of us are CJ guys....have decently built rigs with recovery gear, etc....

Recommendations on where to go from any of you regulars? We were planning on going to Evans Creek, but the snow looks pretty deep up there from the pics posted last weekend. I am kind of tired of snow wheelin this year......What else is within a hour or so of Maple Valley that is worth trying?

Thanks for the info in advance

X2 on reiter...there's alot of good trails there...
There's also Walker Valley ORV; tight trails--not too difficult, but does have some challenging sections if you like that. We (see link below) will be there Saturday.....just mapquested & it's approx 1hr 45min from MV to Walker....

How about Walker Valley? It looks like a group is headed that way already...will it have much snow?

also, where is Reiter Pit exactly? I have heard of it before, but don't know how to get there.

Yeah, we are, and it's about 1hr 45 min from Maple Valley....you're welcome to join! Barring any breakdowns, we should be able to run all the trails in one day!!Anyone that's been lately has said they had alot of fun and would do it again...As for snow, the last report is there's alittle at the top, but everything's passable...

sorry zukkev, didn't see all of your post about Walker...I will talk to the group and see what we want to do. Might not be bad to check out Walker Valley if there are going to be some people who know the trails...I hate wasting half the day trying to figure out where to go and what is actually worthwhile...

Thanks to all for the help...
