It amazes me how people in this state can NOT drive in this ****.... coming down I5 across the flat's between maryshell and everett tonight saw 4 wrecks, one car was probably 50ft off the side of I5 pointing away from the freeway, in the blackberries..

And don't get me started on lane travel... WTF! if a car is coming up it does NOT mean drift into their path, and no, it doesn't mean turnsignals are not required!!!!

oh man last night towing, I was passing a Suby going about 55 on I5. The roads were bare with patchy ice... anywho, I'm passing him, and theres some snow on the center lane, and HE STARTS DRIFTING in my lane! Luckily after blaring the horn he moved over.. but he like slowed down to 35mph.. dumbass!

Seriously, if people don't feel comfortable driving in the snow, they shouldn't.

Yesterday I was getting on I-5; it was one of those two lane on-ramps where at the last few feet the two lanes merge before merging with the freeway. Apparently a Civic SI decided he didn

8 1/4" so far and coming down GOOD. :cheer: . I haven't had this much snow here since 86 when we were in Covington. Think it was 10" back then. Hopin we'll catch up to that and maybe pass it.. Wish we had as much as you Spokomton guys :hi:

They shut down Seatac for a few days according to the United rep and canceled my Mom's flight tomorrow morning. Now she won't be able to be here for Christmas since the earliest reschedule they had available is fri night :booo:

She's gonna be all alone for Christmas for the first time in her life :booo::booo::booo:

no chance of getting a different airline? I know SOME are still flying out, but don't know how far out some of them have been delayed or re-scheduled.

It sounds like the worst problems so far have been north of me. I've been pretty surprised how people have been handling it down here in the south end. Sure you have a few that are a little annoying. But pretty good for the most part.

SpiderGrrl just went out and measured, 9 inches on our back porch here in Kirkland. We

Been snowing steady here pretty much all day (with a couple breaks here and there; Have approx 10" on back porch:D and still coming down pretty good!!!

We're at a little over 12" now, and it is still coming down steady. My son plowed the driveway with his tractor mid afternoon, and you can't even tell it was plowed now.

The lady I talked to said the airport officially closed for at least tomorrw and sounded like a few days, so all airlines were grounded and flights canceled

what'd they do if they got the snow that airports in places like chicago get

They are far more prepared (i.e. more plow trucks, heaters, de icers, etc.) and ready at a moments notice. Although sometimes it's still too much...

Lady said all PNW airports were forced to close, which included Seatac and Portland...

Now who knows where she got that info, but that's what she said before I even suggested the idea of Portland.

:(
