They're beef compared to the stockers, and quick turn around time on the custom length shaft too.

I'll dig through my pics and see what I can find tonight.

I don't have any pictures yet, I'll get some when i pull the front cover. But i have a toasted front ring and pinion and maybe more.:booo:

I am in for a set of 4.56 thick dana 44 gears.

Also, could ya PM me with what kinda deal ya could set me up with for a dana 44 full install kit, thick 4.56 gears, and mini spool? Thanks!

And thank you for the chance! Its awesome to see local vendors helpin locals out, now i hope locals can help local vendors out!:cheer:

Ah ha.. IN and thanks for the chance. Just so happens I killed my Dana 44 Detroit, 1 alloy shaft (replaced with a Nitro BTW :awesomework:), 2 ujoints, broke my steering gear box off the frame, taco'd a wheel, cracked my exhaust manifold, cracked several links all at the same time when I.... Slammed into a stump/tree. 2nd gear full throttle.

Here's a pic of the Detroit. Probably the best carnage out of the crash. Pick my pretty please because I'm getting ready for a 60. :awesomework:

my last carnage...10 spline coupler between the 203 and 205...im in for some 5.13s..thanks for the chance:awesomework:

i want some!

i broke the smallest leaf in my rear, which then twisted my axle and broke the u bolts on the opposite side. then both my brand new rubicon monotube shocks snapped off from the rotation, then my pinion broke off my rear end, then my drive shaft spun around hit the ground and broke the front u joint in it. lol all this happened in a split second trying to bounce over those logs at the beginning of the wall trail right after someone went over them and spread them out the wrong distance apart.
i was too pissed to even look what happened so i just put it in front wheel drive and drove home all the way to bothell. :D when i finally checked it out i realized i almost lost my whole axle on the way home... whoops

im kind of glad i dont have pics:mad:

Other than a couple drive shafts, must wheel like a *****, not serious drivetrain carnage. But here's the result of no forgetting to put oil in the front dif then going doing a tuff truck :D

I regeared after that.

I dont have pictures of 1 of many front blowed up spiders in my dirty30 front end...

But Iam in due to the fact that your in CASHMERE!! I love that little 1 or 2 blink town:awesomework:

well here is a couple lame photos. they dont do the damage justice...
this happened in may,at the core challenge. i just put my locker up front, and welded the rear end up..
i got my front tire pinned in betweem a log,and rock. almost had it out. alot of throtlle, and a hard bump, and the whole rig hopped, and started making,a grinding noise. limped it onto the trailer..
opened the diff up when i got home, and found 6 full teeth laying in the bottom.. chewed up some other teeth, and the pinion is wasted. i am in need of another gear set(toy 5.29),and what a perfect time of year for it thanks for the chance guys good luck!!!!!

I would love a set of gears!

This is my first break, the STOCK rear end in my S-10 pickup start to chatter and not do it's awesome limited slipping anymore, pulled the back cover and found this gem, split from ear to ear!

I also had an old style D30 ARB come apart and drop the center pins out directly into the pinion and it ate the center pin like a carrot along with taking a few teeth off the R&P. (I dont have pics of this!)

Thats a gov loc for ya!

I would like to be considered. The only carnage pick I have is old and not what I am running now. It's a 3X5 that I'll have to scan in later. I'm setting up a set of 60's for next year.
I'll have to stop in and see you guys. I live in Leavenworth. :awesomework:

Pic added. The old D27. Sheared the hub off at the narrowed part of the axle.

I need a set of 5.13 gears for a 60 because I'm currently running 4.10 :puke:

front driveshaft in the truggy. all I did was burp the throttle while in the horseshoe at moon rocks. I also busted a link and trashed the rear yoke. it took 5 winches to get my POS out.

Dana 44 joint. from the shop truck. doing a little testing at the yakima rock crawl course before it was finished.

12 bolt rear axle. powerline trail in Naches 39.5 Iroks and a healthy smallblock it was fun getting it on the trailer.
brkaxle0kp.jpg

10 bolt front ends don't like 44 boggers. Another Shop truck blow up. decided to run the 44s for the snow challenge and as a precaution I welded the caps on the axle joints. guess 297 joints are stronger than a detroit tru trac

You want the D30 stories?
the D44 stories?
or the D60 story from the OM?

1/2 ton stuff does not like 10 feet of air.

Story,
This was from a long time ago, 5+ years. I had just gotten my cage done, and was at a point in my life where it was easier to swap a new front end in everytime I went wheeling rather than to sack up and buy the one ton stuff. I went through half ton stuff literally everytime I went up, and sometimes brought spares.

I had just put the new front end in and was out on the farm working on some rigs with some buddies. My buddy showed up with some chicks and we went out in the field to do some night wheeling. I was by myself in my rig, and was going to launch up this hillclimb that we always did. Well, being that it was late at night, with some liquid courage going on. I decided to hit it going a little faster to get some air off the top. I came all the way across our lower field, and didn't even begin to realize how fast I was going until I was right on top the hill. I launched up the face of this hillside and landed harder the hell on the back end which in turn slapped the front end down standing the truck on its nose and almost going over.

I was in hi instead of low:redneck: This is where it landed, a good 30-50 feet away from the top of the hill.

Hi All:

I've been thinking about some 4.56 ratio R&Ps for my Land Cruiser, so this is timely! :D

Carnage? Well, a couple TREs, a Birfield joint, and a front pinion shaft. I may have pic of the remains of the Birfield somewhere . . . . :redneck:

Stories? The Birfield grenades while turning around on the side of a ridge line over above Rimrock Lake, while the front pinion blew on the Backdoor Trail at Reiter.

Regards,

Alan
