Me and a few buddies finally got a weekend free and wanted to head out wheeling.

Is the campground still open?

I read somewhere that the trails are open until Dec 15th but I didn't find anything about the campsite.

Thanks,
Dave

Crap, I just read online that the campsite is closed.

Is camping completely not allowed? All we have is an in-bed truck camper and a few tents.

Will they kick us out if we just setup camp in the staging area?

Anybody with a snow report?

Overall:
Clear skies and sun but very cold. Traction was amazing, in some places I would say better than a dry summer day. The frozen dirt and rocks made for super grip. Ran every trail in the place.

Sat: all 5 rigs

1154 - Fairly easy with great views
520 - Hit snow mid way up the 520. No mainly light with no chains required
519 - Fairly easy except for the rock ledge shown in the video
102 - Ran it from the parking lot up. 4Runner with broken lift blocks held us up at the first switchback. Almost turned around because it was getting late. Got past him as the sun went down. The switchbacks were pretty easy with the superb traction. The FJC had a few close calls.

Sun: my FJ80 and the Cherokee

195 - Lots of rock climbs that were a little challenging and would hard when wet
198 - Nothing too major
197 - Hard. Lots of off-camber turns that want to push you into stumps. Might have had me turning around in the wet.
196 - Very Hard. Approaching Busy Wild hard. Both rigs had to slide on stumps in several places. I would have been a winch fest in the wet.
