Using a public lands trail system for a closed course comp event might be tough to pull off. You simply can't close public lands for private events. This said straddle line has a lot already in place for such an event and the new management is (seems) eager to get 4x4 events back.

I know what your saying here but the trials bike guys block off there courses they have already had a couple comps at Rieter now if a non-comp trials bike person just rode through I am sure they would try to direct them in a safe alternate route and i am sure if the guy was persistent they couldn't stop them but DNR has certainly allowed them to self regulate their courses...

I don't know what some of you are talking about. On any random Saturday there are public trails closed all over the PNW by broken down Cherokees.

Just invite your teenage Cherokee friends and they'll close off the trails for you in no time.

The bikers do enduro events at walker a few times a year. They have there check-in and booths set up in the main lot, so its obvious for people to see somthing is going on. The few times I was there while they where out i noticed they mark the trail heads they are using and didnt use the main roads.
