Yeah the 80's and running as many lights as you could fit.

That's one technology that's changed for the better with the low draw, tough, small, very bright LED's available today.

Still there's something to be said for the K-range of these Old Skool Halogen lights.

IIRC these may offer better illumination in snow then some of the newer higher power lights that operate at a higher K-rating due to the fact our human eyes do not recognize forms as easily from the light being produced in the higher K-ranges.
I read that some where and although it sounds good, until compared side by side in snowy conditions I couldn't say for sure.
