It's one in the same. There's nothing in the RCW stating they need probable cause therefore they don't.

Fortunately for us, that's NOT how the law works.

Surrendering your property without probable cause is surrendering your fourth amendment rights forbidding unreasonable search and seizure.

only if you don't know your rights. Just because someone is ignorant of their rights doesn't protect them from the law or police asking for id, ect. Remember, asking violates nothing.

This is correct and BECAUSE so many don't know or understand their rights, LEO's take advantage of the situation. How many of them circumvent the law in certain sticky situations because the people that they've sworn to protect and serve just don't know any better? How many LEO's don't know that they're abusing these peoples rights, just because "that's how things are done"?

Time after time you see people standing up for their rights in open carry situations. Time after time you see Five officers show up and detain the person. If we all did this maybe it would change how officers react but for now they do as they please. The law means nothing until you are in front of a judge after spending thousands on legal fees. The officer will usually detain on disturbing or some other bs charge. As much as I would love to screw with them I have a job to go to the next day. Unlike most activists on the other side of the issue.

So i am all for being able to carry a gun but i was wheeling yesterday and this dude had a pistol strapped to his leg that had an extra clip on the same holster toting due rag and cut off sleeves. Made me feel a little biased about his attitude out wheeling as to what he thought might happen to him? Zombie wheelers? Maby a couger would attack his jeep? Only in his dreams!
My point is is there is a time to carry and a time to just put it away!
I mean really, i was camping once and the same thing, guy shows up around the camp fire gun on leg people were drinking and i was totally uncomfortable! No need to shoot at fellow wheelers over being drunk either!

I always have a gun when wheeling, sometimes it's in the rig, sometimes I carry. You didn't like a guy carrying a gun in the woods?:eeek::haha: When the alcohol comes out, the guns do need to go away. My group is strict on this one.

Might have been before your join date, but I know a guy posted a story of two tweakers that tried to rob him up at evans.

I sure as **** will be armed when I'm out in the forrest. I don't need to worry about zombie wheelers, I need to worry about zombie tweakers.

I open carry all the time. Had a couple look at me funny the other day but normally no one seems to give a ****. In the woods I will ALWAYS have a gun on me. When wheeling I may take it off, but its still in the rig and easy to get to. I laugh at people who don't think I should be able to carry in public. Feel free to be an easy target with no way to defend your family. Mine will be safe.

Not saying i am against it at all, just a time and place. He was wheeling at tahuya, there were no tweekers around, they were all in nice jeeps, there were kids around and i just saw no reason to have it strapped on when it could have been in his rig.
Maby if he was by himself it wouldnt have been awkward?
Idk it just seemed overkill to me?

He came out of the trail ran upon a group of buggys sitting yaking
He stopped and parked with us, for all we knew he was a tweeker looking to take our rigs?
Ive wheeled all over and so have many i wheel with with no need for a pistol strpped to my leg.

To each there own. I cc at almost all times. I choose to not avertise. Although it is and should be legal to oc. Like my last post stated if it was more common there would be less of a issue. Some officers are ok with it others not. It is not worth the hassle. Plus in a shoot out the bad guys are shooting the oc guys first.

I've been thinking about your post and really what it comes down to is we can't control what other people are going to do.... Especially when they are acting within their rights.. place and time or not..... The only thing wrong about your Tahuya scenario is that you weren't carrying. It's really typical of people who end up victims of gun violence then want guns controlled as a result. The real issue at hand is typically that they weren't prepaired to defend themselves.... Now I understand that carrying is not for everyone and maybe it's not for you. Just don't ***** about it when someone else was carrying legally.
Not trying to pick on Super Samurai, it just seems like the typical gun control argument.:cool:

just talked to my bro inlaw who is a sherriff detective in watcom and buddy thats a lt state trooper and both state that there is no law that requires a person to identify them selves or produce id... at all... even if they have probable cause to suspect you in a crime.

now if you are being cited for an infraction of law and you don't provide id you can be arrested.

if you have a cpl it is tied to you id and they will know you have a cpl when the run your id.

you are highly unlikely to be asked out of the blue to produce a cpl for no apparent reason, like thats what a cop wants to do is run around randomly asking people for their cpl!

I'm not saying there is or isn't I was asking you where you got the information from...but......"at all"?..... Clearly that's wrong because I posted one of the many vehicle laws that state otherwise. The question is what about when not driving a car?
