P/S pump recommendations

I think I have the 6"... at low engine RPM it is hard to steer... gets easier as RPMs increase... But don't you need to balance between the engine pulley to the PS pulley... The LQ9 motor I have is 7.5 or so...

cp ÷ psp = 0.75 x engine RPM = RPM Pump Speed

For my rig:
6"/7.5"= .8 * RPM

6000 E RPM is 4800 PS RPM
600 E RPM is 480 PS RPM

So I am very low at idle...

I fought engine RPM vs pulley size on the buggy quite a bit. That little four liked to turn 7k and I liked to keep it there. I had to size the pump pulley accordingly. It made for a rig that was pretty hard/slow to steer at idle.

One nice thing about the 4.3 in the new rig is that they don't spin the real high RPM's so you can spin the pump much faster at idle without worrying about over spinning it when your gettin after it.
