Working enough to stay open and picking up just enough work so that one one project ends I go to the next.

It is kinda nerve wracking as I am just wondering if I will have another project to move to and seem to land one at the last moment.:awesomework:

Not too good on the stress level though.

Having to travel ALOT also!!
Next project moves us from Raymond to chelan county!!!:eeek:

I am employed.
I like my job.
I don't have an fears of loosing my job as a matter of fact they just brought on 2 contractors who would go out the door before me.

Employed and gettting more hours every day :awesomework:
doing od jobs for the neighboreenos and my dad and i are going to be starting our own landscape/home repair business this summer..

:awesomework:

Unemployed for way too long now, and still looking for a job. I have had a lot of shops that would like to hire me, but not enough work load to take on another employee at the moment in my area. I can't afford to move at the moment and commuting a long ways can cost a guy a lot.

and to add, there is no such thing as a stable job these days, even if you are self employed. So always save money so you can be prepared for a major change if it comes up. I thought I had a stable job too once or twice. :;

24 years and counting....day by day. I don't think I'm going anywhere but I don't take it for granted.

Unemployed since Jan 20 2009 but made more money in the last three months than 6 months working for the man.

I work 2 jobs...

Mcdonalds and lawnmower repair shop...

I make ohh about 2.5k a month after taxes and im only 18, i think im doing pretty good :D

I dont drive around either so i save gas... i use my legs, and ive been saving money too by not buying ciggs either.

I just got back from cali. I bought a pack of marbs and camel filters... 8.00... i almost **** myself

Employed, but the automotive industry sucks. I've been looking for another job the whole time I've been here. :haha:

Employed....work is quite busy with no signs of letting up...booked out almost a week. We had a few days so far this yr where we took turns volunteering to take an afternoon to help with the slow times, but we're in full swing now.:awesomework:

I haven't been fired yet :fawkdancesmiley: so I am still employed....

Wal-Mart ain't going anywhere anytime soon.....
(The only reason I stayed there the last year is because I saw the writing on the wall....)

2 jobs.

One is stable, but with variable income (tips). The other is steady income with uncertain future. I'm clinging to them both right now!

I've known a few people here who have just up and quit their jobs recently with no backup plan. WTF??... they know they live in Michigan right??? Every week a few of my friends are laid off... 3 of them today. It sucks balls here! 13% UE... and that's before all of the newly announced layoffs with the auto crap. scary.

i would say im pretty stable where im at...expecially when the company is still opening new stores nation wide:cheer:

looking forward to an upcoming job. But getting family time and working on projects around the yard has been good. Self employed, have never drawn unemployment.

Was a private contractor for the past 2 years, installing satellites..now iam jobless:mad:

Life kinda sucks right now!!

used my wheeler to help forget about it all:redneck:

well..you all seen the pics of it and what i can and cant do with it now:booo:

X2 here. It picked up last month but its slowing down again. Jan and feb i thought i was going to lose my business.

I sold one of mine, now I have to figure out what to do with all the money :eeek:

Got a pretty secure job of 14 years. Wish that I could be home more though. I am deployed on a humanitarian mission that is wasting money that could be better spent helping our own citizens in our own country.

Being closer to the top of the seniority roster than the bottom has its benefits. While rail traffic is down substantially, many men have been furloughed and more cuts are reportedly coming next week, my employment is secure and I have lots of options for jobs I can hold.
