I have the original article where hot rod mag tested the 69 Zl1 camero. They put parts in the trunk, like they used to for dealers to install, ( the dz 302 Z28 never came from the factory with a cross ram intake, the dealer installed it) . When finished it ran 9.65 @ 143. That's with 8.in cheater slicks not drag radials. I guess it could be considered a stage 111 Zl1. These new cars make huge power no doubt, but I had a 69 L72 camero ( 427-425 hp.) four speed with 4-10 gears. That ***** would do some weird stuff when you would mash down on her.............just saying.

All comes down to weight. Too much fluff in the new cars.

I enjoy modern upgrades / comfort / convenience.....but I really wish muscle cars would stay muscle....sport cars be sport cars and luxury cars be luxury cars.

I could only get so close, the owner was sitting in the driver's seat smoking a cigarette, but it is spray foam, I guess to seal up the doors after it was wrecked on that side. :dunno:
