They are. I just finished putting SS headers on it. Very fun to drive though.

New mustangs have great traction control ;)

Its funny, on my 02 you just hit a button to turn it off.

on the 14, you can hit the button and turn it like 25% off......hold it down and it turns it 25% off AND adjusts the steering. To turn it 100% off you hafta be stopped, foot on the brake pedal and hold the button down for like 8 seconds. lol

But seriously though, I'm amazed at the modern traction control. The 02 just retarded the **** out of the timing / fuel cut when a tire slipped....and it fell on its face. Same on the wifes '10 model

Ive did some street pulls on the 14 and only did the 25% traction control off thing and on the ****ty 235 all seasons, it actually would "work" to get traction instead of slowing the car down. You basically turn the traction control OFF but leave the stability control on. (Advance track).

I'd love to try this thing on a road course....you could really get stupid with it and STILL turn good lap times. Very impressed.

Mine has traction control as well. It's only as smart as the guy that pushes the button.
The car I'm replacing this one with has way more power and NO traction control. So I'll need to drive smart.
 
You want to talk about a real ***** to work on. I love mustangs but I've never like the 94/95 sn95s they are just ****. And this one being a 95 cobra that some stupid ass put on some cheap aluminum heads with nice arp head studs which they evidently forgot to torque down :****: and even at that the bought comp roller rockers and then put in the factory pushrods. And to finish off the job they put on intake gaskets and then applied a whole damn tube of black gasket maker. I'm almost sure this turd would have ran with no intake bolts because I had to pry it off

You just have to take a bunch of stuff apart to get to anything.





Why it got replaced, lifter noise, torn down, never got back to reassembling. Customer bought it this way and had a bunch of missing parts, was told they were all in the car, after cleaning a trash can full of garbage out of it, it was missing exhaust manifolds, mass air and air box, intake bolts yada yada. $6700 later its running again.

The current candidates for receiving the LS1/T56 out of my car is a 67-79 F100 or my 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. I'm going to piss off some purest either way thumb.gif

That would be the Ultimate vehicle for me. I want one that I could drive Daily if I wanted to and not be pissed if I get caught out in the rain.

I've got a buddy with a white '15, complete exhaust, procharger, dynoed 623RWHP. It's a blast to drive!

That would be a blast, this one is all stock and fun to drive. I will probably do a few bolt on mods eventually.

Get some plain charcoal briquettes and put them in an open top tray of some sort and leave them in the back. They'll soak the smell out. I had a friend rebuilt a ram that had a cab fire and that's what he did, can't smell anything now.

It will definitely move on, hadn't had a chance to really try it out much. Hoping to have time this weekend to stretch it out
