Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

This should really have its own thread with a disclaimer. In case it gets out of control.

To add insult to injury, it was probably some 'triggered' snowflake/SJW who called the cops in order to harass a gun owner.

Your wife calls you and says a guy is waving a gun around in your yard. You go out and draw a weapon on the first person you see in the area and start yelling at him. He is acting sketchy and confused and keeps reaching pulling his pants up. You tell him if he does it again you will protect yourself. He then lays down on the ground as instructed. He goes real slow and reaches for his pants again so you empty the gun to stop the threat. Afterwards you realize he was unarmed and he was just trying to pull his pants up. You were told somebody in the vicinity had a gun and saw him as a threat. If you waited to see the proverbial gun, he would get at least 1 shot off. Would it be worth him shooting your wife or you to make sure he actually had the gun? Now the way it was handled up until that point was bad but I think the cop pulling the trigger was self defense. The situation could have been avoided but I honestly think the officer thought he had a weapon and was protecting himself and fellow officers.
Fixed for ya.

When I watched the video I kept thinking. What the he'll does he keep reaching for? After somebody here posted he was trying to pull his pants up is when I realized that's what he was doing. My first instinct was not that he was pulling his pants up its that he was reaching for something. It was posted nobody could honestly defend the officer shooting him. That was my first honest take on the situation.

I'm not trying to start a pissing match but those are two total different situations to be honest, cops wife was not present but several officers were, that cop is a trained professional and taught to de escalate a situation like this, just a sad situation all way around

Makes ya think twice about ever going on a hunting trip where you would take your guns out of the truck for the night and into the hotel room to clean them and have a beer. Heaven forbid someone see you do that because then they'll call the cops and instead of someone calling your room phone and asking if everything is ok they'll just send 6 SWAT officers to make you come out of your room and play a game of Simon Says that's kind of mixed with Russian Roulette.

Sad thing......

The guns in public, when I moved to TX I took a load of stuff from TN with me to Texas.
I brought two loads of guns into hotel..... my customer held door for me saying....
If you get in trouble I’ll bail you out.

Makes you think.....

That one is pretty good. Next time you go by south y market, grab some PBP by Back forty. Brewed in Gadsden. Great peanut butter beer.

Back Forty is awesome, love the truck stop honey.

After about 6 months of gathering parts and spending lots of money, I finally have my drivetrain together! Should be a bullet proof setup for a V6 Sammy buggy
