Ok so here is a random thought for you. Ever think about slowing down on the beers. Hell every picture with you guys is you drinking a beer or 5. Maybe do something she likes without the beer. Just my .02$.

Wrong section.....we have a random thoughts thread. :dunno:

Granted it would be nice to have some help with the bills and regular ass but that's abot the only two things i can think of.

That sounds like the opposite of marriage ?

You need a male roommate and then exclusively internet date divorced women in their 40s.

Nothing to do with it boss man. I probably drink about 1/3 or less than what I used to. I drink when we go out to eat on weekends she doesn't have her son, I dont drink around him at all. I dont drink during the week either. So I pretty much only drink every other weekend or special occasion when we dont have the boy. You see lots of pictures of beer here bc thats what I post most the time, that doesn't necessarily reflect the volume consumed or the frequency of it in the big picture. If you only posted pics of every time you ate a cheeseburger or whatever your favorite food is, everybody on the other side of the screen would be like "Damn you eat a lot of cheeseburgers! Must be all you do, eat cheeseburgers!" Lol.

Actually the beach trip last week was her thing. Thats not my top pick of a vacation. I drank two beers at the poolside bar while she laid out and the boy swam, and I was out of view from him. I was tired of swimming and sitting out in the sun after 4 hours of it so I went and changed clothes and drank two beers, then continued the rest of the day with them. Those were the only 2 beers I drank while at the beach. I do plenty with her and her boy without beer for the most part. She drinks a little every now and then herself. There's a bottle of rum and bottle of vodka in the freezer right now at home that's hers. But she doesn't drink much at all and when she does it's no more than 2-4 drinks.

I guess since I've spilled this **** here publicly too I should update that I got home after work late last night and walked into a cleaned house, tater tot casserole in the fridge, apology card on the bar with a long written apology inside. Commendable effort to try and fix things so I guess we'll see how **** pans out from here.

That sounds like a fantastic idea. Get them right around the change when they are so horny they can't stand it. Hell I hooked up with one of my moms friends back in the day. i was 19 she was like 42 and i will say she taught me a few things. Good times.

There's that maintenance I was talking about.. Do something nice and surprise her now.

I wasn't saying all that and this to act like I have a perfect marriage. I love being married to my wife. We are dang near best friends, but at the same time NO ONE can make me madder faster than she can. I'm very laid back, loads of patience, and self-control; but she can make me absolutely flip my crap in about 10 seconds. She just has a bad attitude and smart mouth sometimes and it crawls me. So we've screamed it out, etc, but the good outweighs the bad and we keep ticking. Made a promise till death and I'll be danged if I give up easy.

That's the way to do it. I know one thing, since I've talked about this struggle with so many, I never expected so many others to have similar stories. Maybe the **** will turn around. Time will tell.

Years 3-5 in a marriage are rough. You get through those it gets easier.
A small gesture towards making peace goes a long way especially if the other person doesn’t deserve it.

My wife cussed me on the phone for taking my employees to get lunch after we worked 14 hours yesterday. Because she wanted a couple more things done before we left. I bought her this stupid $4 bottle of tea that taste like perfume and ended up looking like a hero cause I’m “so good to her”

Really hope you figure out how to make thing works JD. You seem to be a hell of a Stepdad to that little dude!

And with all due respect I had to do this because it keeps popping in my head when people are giving you marriage advice and everyone knows that you've had to be doing this lately.

Glad its already migrating in the right direction. Marriage is worth fighting hard for.

Has she grieved and felt with all the emotions from her dad's death? I know it seems like long enough ago, but my MIL just went on antidepressants last month for her husband's death 10 yrs ago. It could explain some of the behavior, or maybe not.

As said, make gestures and let her know that you're not going anywhere.

Yeah I mean it messed with her as it would anyone initially and still does but not in an unhealthy way. Mainly around death anniversaries, decorations, and such. I don't think that has much to do with us getting along.

Hahaha, 3 search result you can barely read says how to put a tracker on my wife. LOL I'm just glad that ain't my problem. I guess I'd rather put up with a stubborn ole broad than one suckin' every **** in town.

Funny story. I'm friends with these two guys that are 2 yrs younger than me. They grew up together, I've known them and their families all their life, typical small town thing. They have been best friends forever, both married, neither has kids yet. Friend number 1 recently knocked up friend #2's wife, like already had DNA test done and it's confirmed. So at least I ain't dealing with **** like that. :wtflol:

It's nice having keys to any machine around but finding the one you need is a real *****!

That’s a ****ing lie 3-5 year my ass marriage is 24/7 ****ing work. You stop working it stops too. I don’t believe people enter marriage because they love someone. I believe they may like them or at most may think they love them but I believe love takes time and loving them happens over time. Josh if you like her keep working on it.

No ****! We got there about dead on 8pm. Well 8 central, 9pm your time. I wasn't sure if I was even gonna get to go or not, planned on leaving work early that evening and got stuck there a little longer than I wanted. Just me and the wife ride up. Walked around and looked at bikes for about 30 min, went to Tacomac to eat, and then went home. I will hit you up next time Im up that way. Idk if I will be able to make another nightfall before it stops for the year, I hate having to work friday nights.
