Son brought home this coloring sheet, so I told him “that’s an E350. About the only good thing about it is the smooth bottom 70 with 35 spline shafts and discs”

Poor kid is going to inherit all kinds of worthless trivia.

You always got cool machining pictures by the way, what's the specs on the lathe? I assume there is a fairly large mill to match?

I see these under big shooting boom forklifts at work everyday and always wonder if they'll ever end up under some sort of off-road rig. I never knew what they weighed until we got this one in to fix a lift. Shipping papers have it at 1400lbs. Seems like you could shave quite a bit off. Not sure what the gear ratios are in them yet tho.

Didn't Randy Torlietpaper ( sorry can't recall dudes last name no disrespect meant ) run some New Holland axles something like those ?
 
Finally got around to changing up the wheels on my truck......and painted the calipers.
