Well, we tried our hand at Evans Creek. My Fullsize f-250 made it through the posts at the campground untill the stupid factory camper mounts on the side of the bed. But it was a TIGHT fit!!! any more snow or any more slick, wouldnt have even tried... But my rig is 81" at the wheels, and aparently 81.5" at the widest point....
So we turned around and went towards Greenwater on hwy 410. havent been out there for years. but man, we hit the motherload of prime nobles.
Once we got past everyone with honda civics with cables and the occasional subaru (we were nervious we'd have to pick through trees with a bunch of city folk :eeek: ), we started hitting the part of the road where only 4wd higher clearance trucks have been. we passed only one new jeep jk and a yj with lockers. We broke trail (road) after the ford got stuck (big ole heavy pig) and we made camp there. it was nice, fire, personal shooting range, the obvious basics. Then we took the toyota up further, aired down to 3psi and went at a snails pace for about a mile untill we melted an airline . but QuikFix (jb weld knock off) fixed it. but we acually looked away from the road and saw we were in the middle of some niiiiice nobles. they were planted far enough appart where they didnt gnarl eachother up.
We could have kept going, but the melted airline was a sign to quit messin around and go cut a tree!!
I recommend anyone who wants a noble and to spend the day out of the house to head up that way.
Take Hwy 410 through greenwater, past the firestation. Left on FS70. Right on FS72. Left on FS7220. Right on FS7222 and go about 2 miles, almost to the cutting boundary.
