Ive got a 350 in my jeep with a 425 mixer on a holley base plate with a model regulator.
I have to press the button on the regulator every time to get it to crank.
It will not idle, however it will run as long as I keep my foot on the gas pedal. I've tried adjusting the base plate with no luck. Is there something else I am missing?

Bad diaphragm in regulator? Was this set up running, then you had this problem? Or is this something just installed and can't get working?

He traded for it not running.

We got it to run but it wouldn't idle for chit. The idle adj did nothing. He did put a new *mixer (that's the part that sits on top of the intake?) the old one had a split diaphragm after he inspected it.

I'm thinking it's a vaccume leak as well, I think he may have actually found a couple....

Yeah we just a buddy of mines 4.3 running on a used propane setup.

After finding the massive unplugged hole in the manifold, oops, it would start and run. But it was extremely rich.
I talked him into calling Buddy over at Alt fuel I think it is, he is on here, and Buddy told him the exact issues over the phone with little description. Pretty impressive honestly.
