Race technical inspection

Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

I hear ya. I don't know what the deal is with that. But since it's about the only place local to me, then I have to take what I can get. That said, in a capable rig, you could pretty well hit anything worth doing in 2 days anyway.

We hit a bunch of stuff in 3 days in Jeeps on 35-40's and it was so much fun. Traction for days.

Has anybody participated in or been to an XRock event? They seem to be focused on East Coast events. I'm on their Facebook group and watched a few of their videos.

I just looked at them. looks like a we rock for the north east area. Looks like a good time though.

So any of the Ultra4 racers (@extremetownie or @Jduck or @ToyotaTom ) have any news to report on the reteching/rebranding of race cars?

I got mine done today. It wasn’t a retech though. It was over the 4400lb weight but I worked with u4 tech prior and they agreed having the exo and an interior cage would be safe even though it’s not the 2” they spec for >4400lb.

That’s great news! Where did you go for the inspection/banding?

Ah that’s no good on not racing but also good for your mental I’m sure!

Which of the Ultra4 races are you planning to race this year?
I plan on running the East series, and I am excited to find out more on what JT has going on in the Mid America series.

JT was doing tech at the races. He checked everything very closely. I had to run to the parts store and get a brake light switch. I had to order new window nets. There was nothing new as far a tech.

Fun stuff.

Since you passed Tech at Rush, do you have to go through it again at @adventureoffroadpark or do y’all have to pass tech for each race but not a full re-tech each time?

Well I did not actually pass tech. I was allowed to race , but I have to get the new window nets before I pass tech. Then it is over till next year.

That’s cool that they let you race despite the window nets and even better that it’s a once a year thing.

From what I heard, they are going to be stricter on certain things but they want you to race. If it's not something that is going to potentially be a huge safety issue, they will let you race and address before next race.

Makes sense there.
