I ALMOST went with them. But I spoke to enough folks and the owner of the shop had done his own testing using a carharrt jacket etc on ballistics gel and found that the Hornady's did a better job expanding after hitting thick clothing.

The video doesn't quite do it justice. It is flat loud. It was sitting about 70 feet from the house and the concussion from it knocked about 75% of the icicycles off of the front of the house :redneck: and scared the **** out of the wife and her friend inside of the house the first time I lit it.

I'm in the process of building a cannon for my Dad. He was assigned to an artillery battery while in Vietnam. They fired 155mm Howitzers. I started building this one to look kinda like that, but fire black powder, have a recoil track and dampers. I still need to find some wheels for it. Looking for some tires about 3" in diameter, with a NDT tire tread. Thinking a kids toy.
