In order to help with everything, including: Auto trans temps, crawling speed, bash it factor, etc. I need to go with some different gears.

Rig specs:
472 Caddy
TH400
Dana20 (maybe 300 soon)
Dana 44 front - 4.10
Dana 60 rear - 4.10
36" worn out TSL's (looking at 40's)

My tranny could really use a hand in the gearing department...So I am trying to get suggestions on what you Auto users run for gears if you have similar specs.

Keep in mind that I will probably be going with a 300 soon, and 40's.

5.xx in my future?

5.13's...that's what i run on the highway with 36's and a 700r4, nice and low with the 4:1 and i did run 39.5 iroks on it just fine also. :awesomework:

Yes...it is now.

I can only imagine what the pinion looks like on these things...
Come look at my set.

I second the 5.38's atleast. Keep things happy. 5.38's now, doubler later, D60 front when you re-gear.

Keep your eye out and you can score some good deals (new or used).

D44 = :nuke: w/40's. Your pig weighs too much, we want to wheel too hard and your motor has too much torque :flipoff:

5.13 or 5.38
And if you do go with 40's
Start lookin fo some places you can store some D44 spare shafts.
Or a Block of steel to weld to the bottom of the skinny pedal.
And if your pre purchasing, You need to deside if your gonna
grind into your 60 calipers for 15's or gonna run 16's.
