Reiter on Sunday

I'll be there and will seek you out. Can you provide a description of your rig?

My tow rig: '08 dark gray Nissan Armada
Wheelin' rig: '80 black CJ5 lifted on 37's
Trailer: UHAUL crap

Note: last weekend, just before the first steep climb with the small rock face, there were several trees across the trail. I don't know if they've been cleared or not so if you have a chainsaw, can you bring it? It's my understanding that these are merely windfallen trees and not intentional blockades.

Terry

Like i said in the other thread i might be out there, depends on how tired i am from the work the day before out there

My tow vehicle is a 79 Chev 6x2 witha black sammy with 33"TSL's 9"rear and D44 front.I don't own a chain saw but I have a bow saw and a winch.See you there. Steve

maybe I'll pick up a chainsaw on the way home from work tonight. just something mild, nothing like Nuzzy would buy

Well my jeep is puking fuel all over the garage after trying to start it, think somthing went haywire in the carb and its dumping way too much fuel and overflowing so i wont be out there sunday DAMNIT

where I had to turn around the threes (2 of them) were prolly about 10-12" diameter and the ends were both around 4-5 feet beyond each side of the trail.

I picked up a Husqueverna 46cc/18" bar chainsaw at Lowe's on Friday afternoon so I'll bring it along. Even if it's not necessary (I actually kinda hope it is so I can try it out), I imagine there will be other times in the future that it will come in handy.

I'm going to try to be at the main lot around 9ish...

Yes, as of last weekend (Sunday), there were trees across the trail just before the switch back where the first little rock climb is... do you know if they've been removed?

I had a buddy go up it friday on quads and didn't say anything about trees--and he made it very close to the old bridge--so I would think all is good...

It's clear all the way to the top.We did some more limbing up towards the top,as well as cleared the downed Alders so you can drive across the offcamber at the top of the waterfall and out to the slide .We started clearing the near side of the slide debris but ran out of gas for the saw.

great day. just fartin' around at a leisurely pace. Myself, Steve(zuk88), Guy(not sure if he's on here or not), and Steve's wife, son, and a young lady with Guy.

started out of the main lot, took side route up to the May Creek crossing I'd never been on before (a little more interesting than just rompin' through the oversized mud puddles). proceeded to make our way up to where the carnage had started to show itself on Izzy and then a ways further. see pics below...

Unfortunately, neither Steve nor I could conquer the loose boulders once we got to the obvious landslide (pics in previous post). it was like trying to get traction on marbles (I supposed the short wheel base might have had something to do with it). We broke for lunch and then headed back down.

On the way down, we cruised through Trail of Doom and the quick little offshoot just a little further down.

Steve, Guy and friends were done for the day but I hadn't got my fill. So after getting some directions as to how to access the area around the Whores camp without driving all the way to Index, I decided to play around some more. Shot up to the Rock Garden, then to Cable, back down around through some of the Rock Garden again to catch Grumpy's Trail (man that thing has gotten nasty). Got back to the main lot around 5:30, had a bit of food and refreshment, packed up and mentally prepared myself for what has become one helluva slow drive back home via Hwy 2.

Dropped my mud off at the self-service car wash in Monroe and zipped on home. Perfect end to another weekend.

was there yesterday. whats up with the dodge ram with no d-lines across the river and heading up??

first the guy blow up a front universal and took out both inner and outer axle shafts then he proceeded to brake his pinion in half and locked up the rear so he tried to remove the pinion but didn't know how to remove the rear axle shafts... him and his buddy
