Robin's buggy

Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

I don't think it was a Dynatrac issue.
It was a Dana 60 issue.
The Dana 60 axle is only soooo big. And Robin liked really big tires, really heavy throttle application, and really stoopid attempts. **** was bound to snap.
.

Yup...

Oh which reminds me.. I have a good joke.... ok.. what is more stupid than a big dumb buggy...... The 50 or so nut swingers that ooohhh and ahhhh following it around the trails......:haha:

Funniest damn thing I've read in some time!:haha::awesomework:

wheeling with robin and no crowd was a good time.

Hell yea it was. Probably the most fun wheeling trip was with dirk, robin and porter at rimrock running pucker ridge. No one to show off to just a lot of fun running a good trail. :D

If I'm not mistaken weren't those sunray shafts 1550's with gifawkingnormous bent plate inner C's and knuckles? Once he went to 49's they died a horrible death. The not stuff was far more up to task although there was a bit of issue with the stock cv's a time or two.

That was a very memorable trip, those TC trips to Rimrock were some good times:D. Robin was very destructive on parts with his bigger tire fettish. I wheeled very often with Robin, was always a good time.

i remember 1 day the the rocks robin bending the rear housing...it was after that he went to the mogs..the sunray shafts in the front seemed to hold up for him..

That was a crazy day dude...

I was pretty sure I was going to be spending the night in the woods with him.

Unfortunately, one of a fair sized group.:looser:

Well since this comes up every few weeks or months as a casual comment, who makes up this list. Kelly kicked it off, robin didnt exactly completely flip mike off but he didnt fullfill his contract. Who else has completely fawked you over mike? I figure you should get it off your chest instead of the random stewing that happens.

No ****, Kelly didn't even spit on it. Hell he stole a brand new pair of shoes from me when he skipped town too.

I kinda doubt Robin's stint in the clink was premeditated as a way to not pay for services rendered. Will he get out and make things right? Thats neither here nor there but until he refuses to pay I think branding him as one who ripped someone off is uncalled for.

He probably doesn't want to add the up the tens of thousands he has lost.

Had Robin not ended up where he is he would have taken care of me and I am sure once he gets out he will try to take care of things.

I have talked this over a few times with some folks and I have come to the conclusion he will make things right when he can. **** happens and I move on like I always have.

That punk ass took a number of folks for a ride.

Exactly how I feel.

Whole reason for this thread was to find one thing out.

Even when kelly fawked me I found who had bought his rig and made contact to find out how it was doing.

Even---fawk what was his name (built that link's 4 runner, beartrack) after his rig was sold and shipped to cali I found him and again asked the same questions.

Its about the quality first and formost and I like to make sure I do the best job I can. And when **** does fail I learn from it.

You didnt miss out on any thing, That thing could flop on flat ground

He ruined it when he pulled the dynatrac axles out and put mog axles under it Who ever own's it now should get some 60's and put it back the way it should be!

I will add get rid of the ":cheer: I'm an attention whore tire's :cheer:"

And when the snausage was in the OM it was found on it's side, With no winch to recover it's self

When did you toss the 4.3?

the avatar is :awesomework: :D

the 4.3? really where have you been mang? ok the quick and dirty

The current ride was built with vortec 350 (high milage) that ran koh 09... Started knocking not long after it went south with Dave (early 10). put in low milage one for Vegas to Reno in summer 10... killed that by the end of the race ( not enough power to hold speed in the deep silt)... Dave than had lower end of the 350 built I purchased cam and flashed ecm that was supposed to warm it up . it ran ok for koh this year... prolly 300 hp ish and barely "adquate"...... was more of a disapointment... it than got LQ9 transplanted in it by Dave with some stuff?..... it pretty much fawkin rips now.... it would be easy to get in trouble with.... it also went to 3.0 atlas pro gears... since I was nice enough to kill the atlas on this years koh.... :looser: ****wagon... BUT it finishes races and is really fast. in fact not long ago took a trip down and ran the rubicon with it and a few others.... had to ask DSI if I could "borrow" my car for a few days.... he's so nice... He let me right after running 300 miles on the stampede course setting it up. needless to say my new car I loaned dave is "broke in" but I have gotten some nice upgrades done with a very fast well tuned car.. latest was to full float the rear axle. :awesomework: but enough about my ROACH..

More on Low IQ's and BIG dumb tires! :flipoff:

Just to clear up more confusion... The senario of that "bent" axle tube was less that 1/4 out (according to Dynatrac) my alignment bar showed it not bent(bar has less that 5 thou runout) So it was still WAY within tolerance either way.... and Robin CHOSE to not have it replaced even though dynatrac said they would replace it.. just a bend axle flange(mild) which was replaced.. and when the second one happened he called it quits.... NOTHING broke in the sunray front. I am sure some "glorifying" was done when explaining of ALL the broken parts to the :sigh:  "FANS"!!... Must be a way of building "street cred" with the local nutswingers?
