oh and 7/8" is probably fine for the lowers. you could use 3/4" for the uppers.

I overbulid things and have 1 1/4" lowers and 7/8" uppers.
 
RuffStuff all the way. Ive been beatin on mine for two years and they work great. I wheel quite a bit too.

The guy above ^(TTH)^ is pretty hard on rigs too!
 
thanks for the replies gonna try to talk him into using 7/8 i think he is gonna three link it with heims on the axle side and bushings on the frame
 
QA1's are bottom of the barrel in my opinion, I run them only when I have too. Otherwise I buy them (don't know the brand) from McMaster Carr.

His reasoning behind putting the part that is more susceptible to wear down where it's going to deal with more mud/grit/water?
