School Bus Drivers

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the level problems school bus drivers are getting into? In the last month two have been hit with sex crimes here one for taking a fifteen year old girl to a motel and the other for child porn on his computer.

What's happening with school bus drivers these days????

I dont think its just school bus drivers these days. Its society in general.

That's true but I recall never thinking a school bus driver would do that maybe strangle me as a kid but never that a school bus driver would do that. After all the people in this position should protect our children, kinda glad we do the private school thing and I take my child to school.

I used to be a substitute driver. There was a middle school girl on one of my routes that had am assigned seat for being Attempting sex acts on the bus. Don't know why she was still there. She actually tried to get my number to call me.

Not to mention some of the conversations i heard.

I remember getting it of hand on the bus as a kid but nothing like what i saw. Blew my mind.

My company hires ALOT of school bus drivers. From the stories I hear, they are lucky they can even find people to drive the buses, much less be a stand up citizen who cares about the kids on board. Most of the drivers that come in just plain say they can't put up with the kids anymore, getting cussed at, things thrown at them, pissed off parents because the driver told them to sit down and behave.

Once kids get on the bus, they feel there's no control or supervision since the one adult onboard is kinda busy with that whole driving thing.

When I was in college I drove a bus for city schools. Thankfully I found out before anything happen but 2 teenage girls had accused a previous driver of sexual misconduct. After getting the girls seperated in different rooms their stories didnt add up, and he was not charged. After hearing that I always tried to make sure their were other students on before I dropped them off in the evening. After driving that bus for about 1 school year I went back to being a full-time sub driver to prevent any potential trouble, this was over 15yrs ago. My dad is a special needs bus driver currently. Some of the stories he tells are funny but awful due to the way the kids are raised. If I raised half the kids that I say needs a tail wooping, I'd be in jail from child abuse. My thoughts are spare the rod and spoil the child and our country will only get worse. My kids are not perfect either but they better know when to sit down be quiet and respect their elders, or they get an adjustment by way of the backside. I know personally my folks were hard on me cause they wanted me to be a competent adult that knows how to act, whether I do it or not.

The job can't pay much.....and you get what you pay for. There's not enough semi retired folks that want to deal with that for the chicken **** pay. So you get low wage workers that would otherwise still be low wage workers. Bus drivers were sketchy looking when I was a kid 25-30 years ago. We used to swear we saw our drivers on Americas most wanted. Lol.

As far as the world getting worse I disagree. I think the world is changing, but that doesn't necessarily mean worse or better. People want to think the world is worse but if you take a look at your bible or your history books it's not. How about soddom and gamhora. (If that's how that's spelled :dunno:

) look at the evil and constant human sacrifices from the Mayans. Look at the evil and cruelty in general during the bible times. I believe the difference is media we now hear about the creeper sumbitch 10 states away and the mom that drowned her kids in another country because of the Internet and social media. We are now in the age on know whereas before we weren't. Just my opnion and opinions are like assholes.....everyone has one and everyone else's stinks. :****:
