The wife an I decided to go seperate ways and she took my daughter with. I miss my daughter more than anything right now. I held Kyla for about an hour before she left. I think I will be dehydrated by the end of the night.:booo:

Life always has pitfalls. Courage is the ability to climb out. Enthusiasm is the desire to climb out. Look into yourself Luke, and find it you shall.
 
Hopefully you guys can work out a plan that works for both of you, so that you can still be a part of your daughter's life. IMO, that's the important part. You and your (ex)wife might not get along, but you should still be able to cooperate so you can be a father to your baby girl.

Good luck man. I wish I could say I know what you're going through, but I can't. I'm sorry nonetheless.

Sorry to hear that Brian. I know how it feel's, hurts like a SOB. BTDT X1000000, Dont give up on wheeling. Best thing I have learned from experience is to keep yourself busy, that way you dont think about it. I'm having a 4th of July party at my house, wheeling bud's hanging out. Your more than welcome to come if you want. PM me if you need directions. This Sunday I'm going wheeling/ Test tune ****. Let me know if you wanna come.

terribly sorry to hear about your situation. seems like we are all going through something that challenges us to be stronger in the face of adversity. the one bit of advice I can lend is surround yourself with your friends, it helps!

Well I still have something going good for me and that is the new contract that I picked up in bellevue and I will be making great money. Now the only thing i can spend money on is to buy stuff for my little girl and my 4 runner. Life might turn out alright. Just have to live life one day at a time.

i dont know ya, but i can relate.. im going thru a divorce as well i have 2 boys that were/are my life...

what i found worked for me to get me thru the first couple weeks... get in touch with friends you havent seen in a while, for me i also stayed away from the drink.. to easy to spiral into depresion... stay active.. physicly and mentaly... that and i talked to my doc... got on anti depresents for about 2 weeks to get me thru the tough time... and most important.. learn to look for the positive in EVERY THING.

its been a month now.. im happyer than i think ive been in almost 5 years..

As much as I like drinking, I really think this is good advice. Don't go off the deep end with the drinking... get back in touch with some friends you haven't seen in a while. Have a few drinks with them if that's what the agenda is, but don't go crazy... it doesn't help and you'll just end up kicking yourself later if you drink too much and get all crazy.
 
Been there, done that. I kept myself busy and tried to not think about my ex. I spent every minute I could with my kids. I think it helped the kids that I was able to come over to her place in the evenings and help put them to bed.

Fast forward a few months, and my ex had started drinking alot, doing drugs, etc. It was at that point I decided to fight. It took 2 years and about $40k, but I got custody of my kids. Best $40k I ever spent. :redneck:

My wife and I are foster parents. About 7mos ago we were asked to come down to UW Medical center and visit with a lil boy who's mother had abandoned him (she was 15.) We spent every waking moment taking care of him. He had RSV really bad and almost died twice. Spent many a sleepless night at Childrens Hospital with him. We were told by the social workers that we would be able to adopt him. We had our hearts set on it. Then, just after he is 6mos old, we get a phone call, saying they will be there in an hour to pick him up. :WTF:

They almost had to pry him out of my arms. It was like they were taking my own son.
