VW trans with adapter plate to a 3.8 Buick v6
Trans and adapter were ordered brand new from texas when built
Closed swing axles
Cutting Brakes
35/12.50/15 TSL on rear
Runs and drives good. its a fun little buggy

It's got to be a built tranny to hold up to that motor. GLWS

Will put $7-11k cash towards a tow rig
mostly like a dodge diesel 4x4 2500 or 3500. Prefer 6 speed. will consider others

That is correct. Cutting brakes steer it when climbing. This thing is out of my league. Whole different ball game using the cutting brakes. It climbs like a billy goat.

Looks like a stock vw car trans. Prolly works good but 5 or 6 rib bus trans would be a lot stronger especially for that engine

I'm not 100% positive what the trans is. He said he paid $2000 for the trans built to order along with the adapter plate from a speed shop in texas.

Trying to buy a truck this week so i will take partial trades on anything that comes with at least 2000-3000 in cash. (Edit- Bought a truck still looking for trades)

Unless I'm badly mistaken that's a bus trans..... Wich is good. Tuffer than car trans
