Somebody's good chassis idea

Apparently this has been done a couple of times but if you're wanting to buld a regular 4 link TLT chassis but don't want to front the cash people have been using these shock mounts as chassis plates.

I think I may have tried this if I'd seen this post earlier. But now I've got my XRC. Hmm.. wonder if this idea could be used to build a Super with clod axles. Bah.. I'm married that's not gonna happen.
 
It looks real purdy, but that motor is way up in the air, not good for COG. You'r better off with a laydown design.
 
Yeah I noticed the motor was way up there as well. I figured it wouldn't be too difficult to get it layed down in there.
 
i started one like that befor i got my tuber it's hard to make it lay done but you can do it.
