Not last 4th. That was the first time in 17 years I wasn't on the lake.

At least I don't think I was, lol. I know I wasn't for the fireworks. I can't remember during the day. I have a horrible memory.

Jaws and a few other guys dropped by the house. I wasn't sure who was driving the boat.

Yep. I got towed through the upper half but I did get to the top and down.

My dad's coming back out for a visit in September. I hope he's up for a trip to Elbe again. Last time I shattered his window all over his lap. That was the end of my front doors. The busy was fun that day.

I wish I could get the Willys done for him. I think he'd love to drive it.

I am so dang busy again building these football fields for my kids football club that there's no time for my stuff.

My dozer operator (Jaydog) went and got himself a real job but there's still one more field to grade. Even with a laser, it's above my pay grade with the dozer.

I would imagine Rick was behind the wheel. I've known him for a few years now, but I hadn't met Jaws until just a couple of months ago. So it wasn't me. Are you on the south end of the lake?

Gabe is a really tough case that I struggle with. The battle between accountability/responsibility to honor his debts vs grace and forgiveness for the hurt and dishonesty.

I think I would digress too much if I continued to write on this post. That battle is a real challenge in figuring out WWJD and what should Dale do???

Gavin, a friend of mine, Joe Pierce, came back from a WOW meeting and told me about Gabe, wondering if there was anything that I could do to help. I had never even met him. Joe knows that our family has helped a few others in tough situations. I was told that he had no place to live aka homeless. I guess compassion took over for common sense...
