STL - Night Ride and Hill Competition - October 26-27, 2013

Re: STL - Night Ride - October 26-27, 2013

I have caught wind that there might be a bounty hill with some cash on the line. Unless I can cut a harder trail beforehand, it will be fastest to the top. I will talk to the sponsors and see what they say. I know I have heard thousand and might be more. I will clarify this Saturday.

If you look on the map, there is a place labeled rock crawling area. This is where I have spent most of my time In the last couple of weeks because that is where I expect people check first. Timbukone, Timbuktu and Hello Kitty are all in this area back to back.

The next area is off of trail 508. Who's your daddy is the access road to the top. The hill to the left (looking from the bottom) is easily climbed. The other three to the left are strictly for full tubed hill killers.

Another good area is off of trail 407. We are trying to cut one more trail off of Square Peg Round Hole (an easy crawler trail) and just across from that is Ex-Wife. The Jeepers put up some rocks to get up and over the ledge. Once a couple of people go over and rearrange them, it is quite the challenging little bluff.

If you head down to 406, you will find all 7 dwarves and possibly Snow White. I am hoping they call one of those hills RZR Burn and the easy side After Shave, but who knows? The hills are there and offer multiple lines.

There are some good hills on 411 and 408 that offer a good challenge. The best hill in my opinion is just off of 414. It is long, technical and offers multiple bypasses for rigs that break or just want out. :)

Still a weekend of work left, but it is getting close.

This used to be pretty easy. Thank you erosion for finally making this a trail

How is this place for a sweet ass samurai rocking 31's?

I tried facebook stalking, but it just looks like mud, dirt and shenanigans?

Re: STL - Night Ride - October 26-27, 2013

It would be a challenge for you. There are enough rocks to make a lot of trails just recently worked on, impassible.

There are access trails and/or bypasses to all the trails though. If you like to ride and aren't afraid to break something, you are in the right place, though it isn't a necessity just to be a spectator or just to crawl the numbered trails.

Looks like there will be a bonfire in the campgrounds and we are still waiting on word for time and amount on the bounty hill.

I am hashing out details, but here's what I know. Two hills, two different classes. RZR's and caged SXS will compete. Bouncers, crawlers and buggies in the other class. $50 buy in, fastest combined time to the top of both hills on the 26th = 100% payout

Post up thoughts or questions.

I may if I don't have anything going on but I usually try my best to dodge the big crowds. I would rather ride on a non event weekend. I need to come check out the new trails you been cutting
