Just cuz I don't know the answer, how come I always see people go around that gate? I understand it's locked, but isn't going around a gate kind of a 'No no'?

Other than that. Cool trip. Subarus are good for so much more than hauling groceries.

:haha: Wow! I guess that would be fun:alcoholic: :Stoned: There is a lot of work put into those. I respect it for what it is. Cool you guys have such a big crew to do that with.

Nice Pics Scott!!!

I wish my jeep was finished so I could show you folks how it's done.

Wheeling with the subaru crew is always fun.

That gate is so you can drive a stock DNR vehicle through, but wheelers have the "shoe fly" to drive over.

If the DNR left the gate open, there would be cars full of partying people up there all the time, dumping garbage and burning down the forest and getting their cars stuck and abandoning them and having sex and passing out and getting lost and other general douchebaggery.

Karla is correct Harold, that particular gate is ok to go around, as it is a shoefly, or gatekeeper of sorts for the 4x4 Lower Mainline trail.....:awesomework:

Looks like a great time was had SJR!!! Did you happen to see the blue Brat up there??? (Jayson and the Subota):corn:---looks like a few of you had a little departure angle issue on Jeep Cross???:D

When we hit the shoe fly Sat. morning, the Subarus were going through one by one. Jayson was leading us so yeah, they saw him, or god, however you want to look at it.:haha: Body Damage went and checked the gate and it opened, so we bypassed them and headed on up the trail.:cheer: The rut on the downhill side at that spot on Jeep Cross is pretty deep. It was really pouring and when I went through about a foot of the downhill side collapsed and just kinda slithered away. The ten or so rigs behind me probly didn't improve the situation any. I bet the Subarus had issues there.:D

we try to get out there each month , normaly maybe 4 or 5 cars , some reason everyone came to this one , only had 1 major break down (not me this time) , rear diff stub thats the weak point , and a 20 min fix
