Meeting

I'm gonna meet our group at 8:00 in Discovery Bay at the "train ice cream shop" thats just west of the 101/104 interchange in the 45 MPH zone. Let me know if you want and wwe'll wait for you.

Okay Silverdale breakfast. Silverdale's an hour from the train or so.

If we hit the trail around 10, need to be at the train at 9 and leave Silverdale about 8. So say, eat at 7-ish in Silverdale??

that will work. Just tell me where and how to get there from the hwy.

Breakfast at Denny's at the intersection (and offramp) of Hwy 3 and Kitsap Way. At 7 am. Try and leave Denny's by 8 am. Try and meet at trailhead by 10 am.

(for those who aren't sure, HWY 3 goes from Bremerton (after HWY 16 ends) up to the hood canal bridge and over to the Olympic Peninsula. For those taking the ferry from Seattle to Bremerton, you'll follow Kitsap Way towards Hwy 3, so it's as good a place to meet as any. The only downside is parking is a potentially tight for trailers, so be prepared to park in the adjoining Dairy Queen lot - I doubt there's a lot of business there at 7 am on a Sunday)

There is no wheelbase limit. There is no wheel width limit. However a TJ / YJ is kinda the maximum lenght/width that will fit without issues. You MIGHT be able to get a toyota shortbed thru, but the rear wheel overhang may constitute a problem. A buggy should be just fine. Even a relatively long one.

edit. Read Joops' last post with the picture. It does show 'recommedation' that are pretty exact. 103 wheelbase, etc.

I'm planning on going but my rider flaked on me. I have an open seat if anyone is interested.
I'm leaving Graham/Kapowsin area around 5:30 AM. Any takers?

Here's the warning sign at the staging area.

Jon,

Aren't you feeling the love? C'mon up brother and have some fun. It'll give you a head start on the carnage for next weekend.

Tony
