TC and Staircase AZ with some NWW's

Bobby and Odie were up for a 2nd day of wheelin so I kept this to an invitation only group and we still had 9 rigs. Here are some pics;

The gatekeeper, The Turtle Hole;

Keep in mind this rig has 47" tires

We kept goin pretty well so we could get both trails in;

Next we got to Turtle Falls to find that it was dug out another foot and had some water in it;

My attempt

TC was next up and took a few tries but made it up

Odie wanted to try an alternate way up via the crack;

Odie couldn't resist the bump and gave the fall a shower and therefore never made it.

Andy and Bill gave it a try too, Andys rear locker was acting up and by the time Bill go there it was so wet his tires just weren't grabbin it.

We got through TC unscathed and headed up to Staircase....... the previous days rains made for some intersting climbs on the first few steps;
The bottom of this was a slimy quag;

Chuck sliced a tire on a rock so we were swappin his spare on here;

Next we got to the Devils Staircase where the mud was as gooey as it gets;

My attempt

Odie thought cleaning his tires would help, he was right

Bobby showed that stickies dont need a cleaning

TC made it look easy

Andy and Bill made it as well and Cliff gave it a hell of a try and almost had..........

Cliff was so close but took the strap for the sake of time and carnage;

Odie moved up the Staircase

After a couple hundred yards of rock dodging we came to this;

Doesnt look like much but water logs make for slippery situations;

TC had a bit of an issue with his fuel pump here that we had to take apart a few times to keep him going but Thanks to Bobby fo rthe screws we got it held together to get him off the trail under his own power

Here is where the battery died on the camera........ We pretty much just dodged rocks from here but it was a great day with great friends and a couple of new friends from Washington. Was great to have Bobby, Tina and Odie along. Thanks to those who came out on a Sunday and braved the mud and water and issues to not get off the trail until almost 4 oclock on a Sunday........ Cant wait til the next trip.

Yeah I got home last night with a flat tire on the trailer for god knows how long......

Hey Sy,Im concidering buying the 40x13.50x17 mtr kevlars.Whats your take on them? would you mind doing up a lil review on them..where you feel they work best or short comings if any.
