The road to Evans Creek

Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

The deep pot holes kicked my azz. I was pulling a trailer. I am sure they will grade it soon.

I bet if the pole smoking granola eaters *****ed they would fix it---just sayin :D

There was a whole **** pot of them bozos up there Sat. I almost hit one head one on the way down and meet another on the carbon bridge. I was half way across and he just thought maybe I would get out of his way. I filled his ears with nice complements as he squeezed his gay car by my truck and trailer.

I pinged the rangers on this...they confirmed that they have zero plans to fix the road at this time.

One would hope it might cut down on Subaru's. Deffinatly worth airing down as soon as you hit dirt. Would suck with a trailer though!

The county usually grades the road each spring up to the gate into the park. It's a county hwy to that point. The FS is responsible for the road from the county Rd to the campground. They have in the past graded the road when needed.

Isn't it technically a highway? What about the DOT?

I had heard that its one of only two state Hy Wy's in Washington state. that are more than two miles long, that are unpaved...

Wonder where all that Forest Service pass money is going?

Yes, the road is sooooooooo much better. Some wash board at the start but no pot holes.

Yep ! Sorry we missed you Greg and great to see Tony, Nichole and mike from the dust devils

I sure hope you paved the harder sections. We know how many people complained it was too hard for their stock Jeeps.

The only people I ever hear complain about Evans are those with ridiculously overbuilt rigs for the existing NW trails :swing:

Oh man, I was sore from picking up so much garbage:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thanks to the dude that drove by us and splashed mud all over while we were fixing the drainage ditches.

Road condition

Anyone been up there in the last week or two?
Wondering about taking a motorhome up to the campground this weekend

Washboard the whole way from Mowich tourists. A few weekends ago I passed 30-40 minivans, cars and SUVS on the gravel road headed to the lake. One vehicle went off the road Into the trees, a mini van was broken down on the shoulder and someone tried to force me off the bridge then they couldn't back up in a straight line. Road is ****ed again. Have fun.
