tonneau cover problem

Hi

I have a hard tonneau on my truck, and it's a SOB to open in the winter because it freezes to the truck. It has some kind of weather seal gasket which sticks to the metal of the truck bed. It doesn't tear when opened cold, but I think it probably will eventually.

Is there some kind of spray I can use to alleviate this problem? Silicone spray? Something else?
