Toy Diff protection

Alright I will admit that 40 bucks for a prefabed protection isn't bad, but its a ressession and I am looking to save some bones here....anyone have some scrap I can pilfer?:redneck:

Go to a plumbing supply store ask for an 8'' standard weld cap. Cut in half and will have diff protection for both axles.

I did the same thing to the front axle.

I got the weld cap in Fife. cost 20 dollars. That equals 10 dollars an axle.

x2 it works good and is cheap...

so a plumbing supply store and not a steel yard is where I can get some of these weld caps or pipe caps?

Northwest Steel and Pipe off So Tacoma way. That was 4 years ago, but thats where I bought mine. I paid 18.00 (4 years ago)

up in everett for the week... i'll look around here and i guess i'll ask everett pipe and steel if they carry it. i have to go there and buy the steel for a rear axle gusset, pipe cap, and rock sliders anyhow...
