So will toyota axles fit under an xj? I know dont mix foreign with domestic but i gotta ask.

toyota axles are pass drop. you will need a d300 or another pass drop t case.

xj's are factory drivers drop.

Hi All:

This is not a bad idea . . . . Land Cruiser 80 Series are old now (1991-98) and are getting more common in wrecking yards. These axles are coil-sprung both front and rear.

Go with a 1993-98 model. These have four wheel disc brakes, a high-pinion 8 inch front diff, and a 8.75 inch rear diff in a full-floating housing. :D If your lucky you might find a set fitted with factory electric locking diffs.

Regards,

Alan

what about FJ80 they're Driver side drop. But they might as well be plated in gold... :D

I have a dana 44 front with 4.88 gears open diff out of a mid 80 waggy, it would be 2" wider than your stock axles $600 bucks
