Toyota Tranny Question

My wifes nefew has a 1983 Toyota 4x4.

Was wondering what trans it has in it, I know it is a 5 speed, but am not familar with the different Toyota trans. He managed to strip the teeth off the input gear.

As far as I know he still hasn't found one. So yeah he still needs ones.

I have a complete trans/t-case all bolted together, ready to put in....:awesomework:

How much do you want for it, I will let him know.

Right one for a 83?? he found one but it was much longer, don't know what year.

My setup's out of an '84; it will go in there...do you know if his original setup is a topshift t-case, or forward shift...

Hmmm. Well what is the differance. Just from memory the t-case shifter mounts right behind the tranny shifter with the same style mounting.

I can look at it tomorrow and see if it is the same.
