Toyota with Bad transmission

I dont know much about toyotas so im looking to get some information from the board. Buddy of mine at work has a 99 Toyota 4 runner 4wd, last week his tranny went out on him. As you can see in the picture it is a nice lookin rig, its got the 3.4 litre v6 with about 210k miles, decent tires & also an aftermarket front bumper.

He is getting ready to move so he has thought about just selling it as is, what would something like this go for with a bad transmission? Any info/input is great :awesomework:

well in good condish without any problems that runner would go anywhere between 6-8 grand but with the tranny bein bad and that many miles id say 3 grand

Any takes? I think he woulid sell prob for 3500 if someone was interested :awesomework:
