This particular 400 came from a guy who parts out old military trucks. Sells the transmissions at core price ($120) but you get absolutely no guarantees. He had a box with about 10 th400's in it and thought one of them came from a truck with like 10k miles. We pulled the pan on the one I picked and it was spotless, the gasket didn't even stick to either side. I think I got the good one, hopefully. The wifes 350 on the other hand, came from an early 80's pickup and has a clump of dirt keeping bad stuff out of the dipstick tube. Lol. Gonna freshen that one up for sure.
