Trying to interperet all the info I find online but still a little confused. I have a th400 that had a dana 20 behinf it. The bearings are all shot in the 20 so im looking for options. Putting new bearings in would work but then I'm stuck with the crappy low range. What I cant figure out is if I want to put something else behind the trans, do I need to swap the output shaft? If I put a lower gearset in the 20 then ive a ton of money wrapped up in a weak case. Dont have the coin to spend on an atlas either.
