Tube advise needed

I picked up a bender but now I need to learn a little about tube before I go and buy some. I have one die in 1.75, first thing I'm building is sliders and bumpers for my buddies fj80. He's pretty strapped for cash so is hrew good enough or is dom needed?

Where are you guys picking up your tube in the tacoma area, the 4 places I called didn't carry 1.75 and only one place said he could probably order it. Any advice is much appreciated :awesomework:.

Nw steel and Pipe in Tacoma. Or floyds/interwest in fife.

Or hit up Anthony at XO Fab.

I use metal supermarket, they have a lot of tube in stock.

Yes it is soft. Not only does it dent easier but it doesnt slide as easy on rocks as harder does.


Its not cheaper to do things twice!

I'll have to get a hold of him because I requested like 6 quotes from places within an hour from me and nw steel is the only one that got back to me, was hoping for at least a few. Nw steel said they could only get hrew. I'm gonna call around tomorrow morning and hopefully pick some up somewhere so I can start bending on sunday.

There price on dom is pretty good, so more than likely I'll be headed out to xo fab on Monday :awesomework:.

Interwest is usually the cheapest, they usually always have dom in stock
