UGH...too many ideas in my whittle head

So a few know I have been collecting parts for the toy to give it a badly needed revamp.

I have seen some of you go from a rig to tube chassis and even seen a few go back to your roots of a DD wheeler.

When you are constantly building rigs/stuff for other folks you tend to get your mind wondering and having a wife that basically lets you do what makes ya happy makes it even worse :haha:

So I had toyed with doing a tube chassis but that truly isn't me--I love playing on the rocks but I still enjoy trail running and a tube chassis just seem like me.

Something else I have been toying with is getting another cab and simply building a refined version of what I have--but thats even hard having a rig that have worked extremely good for many many years.

I can definitely relate to that lol. I'm way too invested and attached to my rig to ever let it go. Been with it since I was 16 years old.. that being said if I wanted a tube chassis I would build one and keep my toy..way too much sentimental value. I Say stay with the toy :beer:

Street driven rigs are a ton of fun STILL....You just can't beat the feeling of just leaving the house in the morning with the plan of just getting away, no plan and if the plans change who cares. No need to return to the trailer to get home.

Do not get into Boats... trust me you would kill someone at the ramp!!!

Last I checked you had three different scale RC's so maybe 3 different wheelers? A quiver if you will. There's definitely room for a mostly stock Toyota with cut fenders, 33's and a winch.

I think most people would agree that for a person who wheels regularly it is best if possible to keep a serviceable rig while building a new one. It sucks to sell / cannibalize your rig to build a different one. Plus your current beast is almost a living breathing thing.

for myself slowly moding a rig then driving a street rig and now a buggy I like the buggy the best but I wanted to push the limits of what the old juggy would do so I had an end goal in wanting to push my driving up a level which I knew my old rigs couldn't do... but defiantly starting at a empty chassis was a lot of work but I only had to build and not first cut, remove, add and re-remove LOL but you have build way more rigs then me so any option you go with you'll get through it.

It does suck to be rig less when your building...

the reliable wheeler, with the long drawn out buggy in the garage i think would be the perfect scenario.

Building a rig, while everyone is wheeling gets lame in a hurry.

You know your rig best, but it seems like reliable is where shes at so don't change it. You'll have plenty of fab work and throwing all the "wish my rig had this" junk on the new one your building on the side.

Ya I know the downtime is a ***** but this rig has lasted almost 9 years so building something else in the grand sceam(sp) of things is kinda small dent. My issue is with how busy I am with our new place that really takes allot of my time(spring/summer months) and of course the consistency of you guys wanting stuff done(which I do love).
