Sounds like Rick lost reverse in the buggy...:booo: Also sounds like scott's up there---is he gonna be up there today, and did he bring another piece of equipment???

yes boxboy no he headed out when i did lastnight but i think him and alyse swapped numbers and business card for future work
 
It was fun last night. I unfortunately can not make it back out today as I have prior commitments but I am more then happy to help out in the future. But what happen to meeting at 6? Oh I know 6 was code for be there by 7...:haha:

Binder has some Dodge auto transmission (46?) and yeah the reverse kind of "Popped" like a manual when it jumps out of gear then nothing.<o:p></o:p>

The bands have been known to break on those...sometimes you get lucky and the adjuster just pops out from the servo--- sometimes I've been able to put them back together and readjust the reverse band...:awesomework:
 
Well I drove to Walker for the first time yesterday evening. The drive times thread was right on. It was just under two hours to get there. Fifteen minutes later I was in front of a sign for "Pat's trail" and Upper Mainline. Seeing nobody I knew, I pulled up Jakob's map and headed back out to hwy 9. Once I found Lake Covadurrpydurp road I followed it for 7.4 miles and found the left noted on the map.... and a locked gate.

I spent about fifteen minutes calling people. Contemplated camping by myself on the side of the road. Noted all the lines I could take over the ecology blocks if I wanted to get my other Grand through if I had it with me. Soon enough however, I was on my way back home.

When we hold work parties down here we have the wisdom and foresight to leave the gate unlocked (dummy locked as they call it) so that people can arrive whenever their journey lands them there. Last night was not a total loss as I enjoyed checking the drive and the area out a bit before I tow my junk up there.

The locked gate was obsurd and very disappointing. What an absolutely stupid, STUPID move. Typical DNR. I may return to wheel the place in the future. My ability to attend work parties up at Walker, well, let's just say I tend to learn from my mistakes.
 
****, Jakob never answers his damn phone!!!:mad::mad::mad: The gate was dummy locked...I went right to it tonight and lifted the appropriate pin , and drove right in!!! I am very sorry for the wasted trip Horus.:booo:
 
I actually came looking for you last night Mike.:redneck: Jacob got to his phone at about ten thirtyish an seen he had a phone call from a 253 area code, I assumed you were down at the gate or in the parking lot camping. I left the pit at about 12 (to head home) and came down to see if you were camped out. The whole gate thing was kinda screwed up. When I came up (I was late) it was dummy locked. Then Elyse locked it when she left, but when I came down later that night, it was swung open:wtf:


An I'll say it again, WE NEED SOME PIKTURES!!!:D
 
It's a Droid... great phone shirt battery life (especially when trying to find signal) ... its full bars right niow but will be dead in the morning.

That really sucks we missed ya mike. Geh hopefully we can convince them to keep the gate open next time !

Off to sleep... probably will rain on this tent I'm in .

the gate was dummy locked you just have to know how to work it :haha:

Horus sorry about the problem. I would like to see you. As far as yesterday it was a long day and a lot got done. There is still more to do
