My wife was watching a video of Hop Along Sami, so I could explain to her what wheel hop was. She got most of it, but brought up a question I never thought of. Do you like watching yourself? Are you narcissistic? I quickly got on the defensive and said, no I am critiquing my buggy and driving style....which makes me B & C.

Just wondering if any of you go back and see things that you would change to help your driving style, or if you just think you look good in the mirror.

Here is the video of the hopping that started it all.

Absolutely.

I actually hate seeing myself In a video, always a reminder fat boy needs to shed some lbs lol. But I can watch a video of the Sammy multiple times to help me figure out what's going on.

Agreed....not so much of off roading, but open track/auto crossing. Good for watching car placement and where your eyes are going...or need to go.

I taught myself to drive from watching videos of TC, Wes, and a few others! I would watch their videos then watch mine and remember what it felt like and then could tell what I was doing wrong and how to go faster! Also the obvious tuning benefits for the suspension!

I always critique myself. usually it's wtf, why are you not going faster OR quit being a ***** and hit it harder :rolf:

I think it helps out a ton to go back and watch yourself. A lot of times I can't get every run uploaded but I will have people message me wanting to see their run and I will always go back and upload it just for them so they can study it. It helps with seeing how the buggy performs on different terrains and stuff. Also like Adam Lee said you can learn a lot by watching the guys who actually know what they are doing.

And now you know why porn stars get paid so much...

If I do something cool it's nice to see it. But that rarely happens. I have learned a lot watching the big dogs because about 3 years ago I realized that in south Tennessee you can't crawl everything and sometimes the only answer is to pretend you have a rock bouncer.
