Would think it would just be a waste of shielding gas. :dunno:
What are you thinking?

**** I don't know. I have 100 lbs of this wire. And am about to run out of regular. Thinking I might just finish tetnus with the shielded

Crank the volts, and the wire speed, till the puddle don't break. :dblthumb:

I understand and have welded with it before. I'm just being a jackass. :) what's your schedule? Lol ;D when you coming over to help with my headers. Lol

Most welders around here that weld outside at the mines use flux with gas I not sure why but I guessing it helps with the wind, it makes a great shinny looking weld on equiment

That's self shielding, gas won't do anything to help.

We only use co2 with flux cored wire to reduce fumes put off by the wire. Like said before wont see much difference waste of your 75/25.

It could be co2. Not sure. Hell prob is from what u said. I wedled everything with flux for the first year or so. All my clothes burned, splatter everywhere, even with the 10$ a can **** or Pam. Ha. Man when I got gas hooked up my life changed. No ****. Flux is badass tho.

Dual Shield wire is flux core wire that REQUIRES gas, or it loooks like any MIG weld when you forgot the gas, full of holes. Most of the **** you're seeing where guys are shielding their flux core weld with gas is a dual shield wire. It comes out smooth, shiny, flows well, etc. If you have self shielding wire, save your gas unless there is something I'm not aware of.

Biggest thing I see is it's on a readi-reel. Is you feeder set up to accept a readi-reel? No like a normal spool of wire, requires and adapter.

While we have all the welding guru's together. What is everyone's preferred wire for welding cages?
