Here in Washington, what are some of the better & worse things you like & dis-like about the state?

I find the whole state a kickass place to live, w/ a great seasonal change in weather - there is so much to see & do here, theres not much bad except for the bottle neck driving in or around the larger citys - Seattle / etc...

i think we have some high taxes though... could have alot to do w/ Tim Eyeman / etc...

i like it here alot, because of the many things that one can do, wether it be entertainment, sports, travels, employment, theres just so much here...

we really have it good in this state, in my opinion compared to some others.

I think you need a limit on how many threads u can start in one day.

Your just figuring this out???

I hate the state because soo many peeps have moved here for m soft and ruined the land i once knew. As well as the traffic. Oh, and i hate the creator of this thread..whatever his name is.

I left the good old Seattle area and am loving life in the Couve. Less traffic, still close to a great downtown with a great night life.

Although I now live closer to some of the worlds worst drivers...Oregonians!!

I like Washington, especially the are i live in because I can be downtown at a movie or a walmart or whatever, drive 20-30 mins and be at least 10 miles in a straight line in every direction from the nearest human occupied establishment.

I love it here. And I love where I live. Who here can say they can walk out there back porch, look up and from every angle and see snow capped mountains......

I live in North Idaho. I'm set :)

Haha, there are some great things about living in this state and there are some things that are worse than Washington... just haven't found them yet! :flipoff:

In all seriousness, I'm very lucky to have grown up in Western Washington; I truly do miss ferns and... Happy Terriyaki... and...

Traffic and taxes are an issue everywhere.

Wheelin trails are better there IMO. Die hard rockcrawlers will disagree, but I'm sick of the rocks. The weather up there is a double edged sword.

I love this state.

One thing that gets annoying is the mentally ill people that are allowed in the general population......no offense Zukpirate.:hi:

Exactly Hippie...

The thing that I love about our state is that it is one of the most diverse...diverse in all offerings. If the state government was better it would truly be a phenomenal place to reside.

Every state has its governmental issues...therefore weighing the plus over the minus of the state offerings...I think it is a decent trade-off.

I love it down at this end of the state...especially the ability to sneak across the river and gt some tax free goods :haha:

Now if only we had more wheeling areas down here

you can't drink at the strip clubs here in WA

gloomy days, those are the pits

our mass transportation & freeways suck

and taxes.

do not like:

****ty football teams
horrible sports fans
beaches w/cold water
hippies
ugly/fat women
****ty weather
traffic/people who cant drive
bums on every exit of I5

like:

summer time is OK
mountians
wheeling

Like:
- wide variety of things to do/see
- beautiful landscape
- among others

Dislike:
- lack of sun
- cost of living/real estate

Like:

Different kinds of wheelin' around the state
Sno-co is fairly well managed
Good CCW laws
Summer weather
****'s

Dislike:

Nanny-state mentality
Closed minded liberals
Having Seattle dictate everything for the state
No drinking in strip clubs
Gloomy weather
The good wheelin' spots keep getting farther from home.

:edit: Not saying all liberals are closed minded. I just can't stand the ones that are.

Traffic (no fawkin intelligent design in the roadways. They are laid out like a first grader with a Hotwheels set would do)

Too much rain at 1 time.

Politicians Poly menaing many and ticks are blood suckers.

DISLIKE's:Taxes (soon, you will have your Income tax too), Queen Christine, wasted tax dollars, preference for more government (social programs, taxes, etc.), poor education (king county in particular).

Likes: Snow, more snow, lots of snow. Sunshine when it's out. The results of rain (not rain itself of course). People here don't completely suck. Every city is not like Tacoma, Everett or White Center. I like Dicks Burgers oh, and Redmill!

Were else can you fish in the morning, snowboard into the evening, and hit da club on the way home.
