My wife and I were talking last night, and after realizing how big of scumbags we were, I wanted to find out if we were really losers(this thread won't suggest we are not). We have had almost 40 different cars since I started driving. I wanted to have other people mention how many they have had, and what they were. I have listed some reasons why I got rid of them, or a little description.

70something Mercury Lynx. Car was free, drained the tank+new batt. sold for 250
91 Ranger. Shoulda kept it, except it was boring lol
78 f150. 42 inch swampers, current daily driver

85 Blazer. Donor for the 84 yota
79 El Camino. Biggest Pain in the ass ever. Motor crapped out, built a motor for it, put the motor in, blew the tranny, nonstop problems. Sold it to the old man lol

'95 Honda Civic - turbocharged and fun - sold it cause I got laid off
'79 VW Scirocco - a basket case from the start, scrapped
'87 Jeep Cherokee - built it then parted it out
'91 Acura Integra - was a POS from the get-go, I think it had a cracked head
'83 Toyota Pickup - parted out
'88 Toyota Pickup 3.0 V6 - fixed and resold for profit
'96 VW Jetta - fixed and resold for profit
'87 Toyota 4runner - fixed and resold for profit
'91 Jeep Cherokee 2dr - fixed and resold for profit
'85 Toyota Xtracab Pickup - sold it cause I wanted a wrangler
'91 Wrangler - still have it
'02 Dodge Ram 2500 - still have it

I'm sure I'm forgetting some... and this doesn't count rigs that were bought only for parts.

69 chev c10-someone stole it and striped it
74 chev nova(looked almost exactly like the pontiac)-friend totalled it
94 chev Z71-I totalled it
89 gmc jimmy-blew the rear then let it get repoed
98 subaru wag. Burnt oil-traded it for the jeep
03 jeep rubicon-still have it

I have owned over 100 vehicle, I'd take up too much space.

But I'll say shortest time owned: 1968 Torino GT. I bought at Portland Swap meet, and my buddy watched me pull it into my driveway, offered me 3x what I paid for it. Owned for 4 hours.

Longest: 1988 Suzuki Samurai. Been in my posession for 6 years, my Dad wheeled it for 3 before that.

1967 F-100 2wd Shortbed. ~ First vehicle Still own.. garage dweller.
1961 Falcon 4 door ~ Daily driver for 6 months. Sold because it was geared low and turned 3,500 rpm@60 mph.
1970 Ford LTD 2dr. Bought it totalled. Pulled the 390/C6 and stabbed it into the F-100. Scrapped.
1985 BroncoII. DD for 3 years. Hit 3 times in 1 year, then it became the full time wheeler.
1982 Ford EXP. Daily driver extordinare. Bought for $350 3 years ago. Selling cause it's too small/I'm too fat. :D
1992 Ford Explorer 4 door. Bought for cheap with a bad trans. Will replace the EXP when I stab the new trans in.

1978 VW Rabbit Diesel - borrowing mom's car while in School
1967 Pontiac Bonneville hard top. 400 w/ Carter Carb -> TH400 - Killed half-restored Camaros while in College... Nothing more demoralizing for some dumb kid than to have a 4-door hardtop family car KILL them off the line.
1987 Volkswagon Jetta - drove it while a traveling salesman - rolled it over into the median on I-5, had it fixed and drove it around more...
1993 Isuzu Rodeo - same as above minus the rolling over part.. First "Wheeler", really. Got me hooked.
1999 Ford Explorer - tried wheeling it, dented fuel tank first time off road with kids (not bad enough to puncture it).. Asked dealer about aftermarked skid plates for same.. Reply was "You actually take it OFF ROAD???" :| Sold to in-laws and bought..
1989 Jeep Wrangler ;) Have it :)

1) 1986 Chevy S-10 Drove into the ground. Gave to my dad when I left for boot camp.
2) 1981 Chevy Monte Carlo. Left it at the train station with the windows rolled down and the keys in it in Chicago, when I moved to Va I'm sure some homeless guy got lucky that day.
3) 1998 Jeep TJ (my baby, and wheeling rig and DD. Still have)
4) 1988 Jeep XJ. Had to sell when we moved out here. Still haven't recieved the money after almost a year and a half.
5) 1991 Honda civic. I bought the car for $200 with a blown head gasket. Fixed and sold for $1800.
6) 1997 Jeep ZJ. wifes DD.
7) 1979 Ford Grand Torino. Really wanted to build that car. Had a 351C that needed help, but was a pretty clean car. Ended up trading it for a PSP. :booo:

1980 c10 pickup - I6 calif edition...motor just got soooo tired it wouldn't drive anymore :( (still have it, its getting a built 350 some day)
1988 pontiac grand ma - tried to hydroplane race it
1988 s10 pickup (long bed w/ extended cab...rare) - t-boned on my way to a drug deal by a guy in a bigger hurry to a drug deal :D
1991 s10 blazer (aka "clifford the big red truck") - blew #1 cylinder
1979 el-co - built 350, just too small and way to damned fast! parents still have it, and its for sale
1985 turd bronco xlt - lost all remaining respect for fords when the water pump took 4 days to r&r. tranny went so it got parked. its for sale, with a good tranny to install ;)
1948 willys cj2a - still got it, aint for sale. DD it for a while till i got
1978 k10 pickup - lost motor, installed a hot sb400 and while it was in the shop somebody sabotaged it. i got offered 500.00 for some parts and it went to canada
1982 k10 suburban- 6.2 diesel, current DD
1991 nissan pathfinder - wifes rig when we met, lost the tranny and cost too much to replace
1994 chev cavilac - great commuter car for the wife while she waited patiently for...
1994 gmc jimmy, wifes dd...in for body work
