What kind of repair is this?

Bought 4 tires a while ago. They were already mounted on rims. Took them off to mount them on new wheels and noticed three of them have what looks like a big hunk of rubber glued to the inside. Not a mark on the outside of the tire to think that there was a injury and they had been repaired. I have never had a tire vulcanized, so not sure what that even looks like.

I purchased a set of 47" LTB's around 2009. Three of the four tires had those on the interior sidewalls.

Never really had set that doesn't have them. As said above balance patches is what I have always been told. Seen some that are friggin huge

I did the same thing, had some 43s a few years ago, demounted them and thought "wth..."

Ya really
Two tires have one on both inner and outer side wall.
Tires probably will never spin fast enough to worry about the balance.
