Where can I scrap a boat?

My grandfather passed about last month and family is cleaning up his house and acreage. Theres a 17" Bayliner sitting on the property for probably 10 plus years. I can use my boat trailer to move it but dont know how to get rid of it. Suggestions?
 
i think the tulalips have a place where they grind them up but last i heard they charge 75 bucks to do it

I got rid of a 17' Bayliner about 10yrs ago for free on CL...coincidence????:redneck:
But yeah, try CL first---lots of people snag up boats for free...hoping something on it is salvageable...
EDIT: sorry to hear about yer grandpa...

Gayliners just upset my diet.

I prefer to chomp on Tahitis, Marlins, Konas, Hondos, Avengers, Invaders, etc.

Boats that have horse power and ho power. :bling:



Although that gayliner would get all the brass and aluminum stripped and go to the dump if it was mine.

Also, I have found that free items that dont generate much interest sometimes go faster with a price for $100 OBO.
 
I took one to the dump this summer no ***le no problem. Just paid the reg. Dump fees
 
in Pierce County, all you need to do is cut it up into managable pieces (for your ease really) and take it to your local dump...

they charge you by weight like any other garbage...

I have already done this to 3 boats that have been discovered on my property...


i just used teh saws-all on them and cut it up small enough to fit into the back of the truck.. bam!! gone!!!

Did that to a hottub.
 
looked like sum1 left one on a backroad outta bonney lake hahahaha....put in the water make it look to float and sell it as an indian boat. from many yrs ago..kalaaka
 
Put it out front of your house with $500 on it. It will be gone soon as suddenly it has value. Did that with an old washer and dryer. It sat there for 3 weeks with a free sign on it. As soon as I made a sign for $50, someone stopped and picked them up. :redneck:
